PRESERVATION OF INDIAN CULTURE: ANALYZING THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT INITIATIVES AND POLICIES

The rich cultural heritage of India, encompassing diverse traditions, languages, art forms, and customs, is a cornerstone of the nation's identity. This review article explores the various initiatives and policies implemented by the Government of India to preserve and promote this cultural diversity. The analysis delves into key programs aimed at safeguarding tangible and intangible cultural assets, such as the protection of historical monuments, promotion of regional languages, and support for traditional arts and crafts. Additionally, the article examines the role of educational reforms and digital platforms in fostering cultural awareness and preservation among the younger generation. Through a critical assessment of these initiatives, the article highlights the successes, challenges, and areas for improvement in the ongoing efforts to preserve India's cultural heritage.
