Abstract

This research employs AI-enhanced analytics to investigate the intricate dynamics of budgeting, procurement practices, and financial recording within public secondary schools in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. Through comprehensive data analysis, the study unveils statistically significant correlations between budgeting practices, procurement methods, financial recording practices, and the overall financial performance of these educational institutions. The respondents, predominantly aged 40 and above, illuminate the pivotal role of budgeting committees and grapple with challenges, particularly unexpected expenditures. In the context of the Indian educational landscape, the study accentuates the indispensable role of effective budgeting in optimizing resource allocation and revenue management. Leveraging AI-driven insights, recommendations are formulated, advocating for prioritizing needs, engaging stakeholders, and exploring innovative funding sources tailored to the intricacies of the Indian education system.
